Between the “Actual” Rural Space and its Contemporary Representation: Glimpses of the Role of Digital Imaging in the Process of Collective Representation
Resumen
A la luz del presente escrito, se propone reflexionar en torno a las relaciones entre las imágenes digitales y la representación colectiva del espacio rural en el mundo contemporáneo. Frente a este propósito, se plantean, en primer lugar, algunas reflexiones en cuanto al cambio en el proceso de representación social en el escenario actual, signado por la incorporación de tecnologías e imágenes digitales en la vida cotidiana. Posteriormente, se intentará ahondar en la relación que existe entre las imágenes digitales del espacio rural, promovidas por los desarrolladores de proyectos de urbanización en áreas rurales, y el proceso de apropiación y dominación del espacio desarrollado por el movimiento neorrural.

Abstract
In light of this paper, we propose reflecting on the relationships between digital images and the collective representation of rural areas in the contemporary world. Given this purpose, we propose, first, some thoughts regarding the change in the process of social representation in the current scenario, marked by the incorporation of technologies and digital images in everyday life. Then, we will attempt to delve into the relationship between the digital images of the rural space, promoted by the developers of urbanization projects, and the process of appropriation and domination of the space developed by the neo-rural movement.
