Resumen
El estudio de caso quiere mostrar la importancia de los bienes de interés cultural (BIC) para una región, teniendo en cuenta los valores tangibles e intangibles. Esto para poder darle el valor merecido gracias a sus características; la importancia a través de la historia;su impacto económico, social y ambiental; determinantes arquitectónicas y urbanas en el departamento de San Juan, ubicado en una región desértica con unas características paisajísticas, ambientales y culturales muy interesantes que hacen de esta provincia el ser reconocida en el ámbito patrimonial.

Abstract
The case study wants to show the importance of cultural assets (BIC) for an area, taking the tangible and intangible values into consideration. The purpose is to assign its due value, based on its characteristics; importance throughout history; economic, social and environmental impact; and urban, architectural determinants, to the department of San Juan, which is located in a desert region with very interesting landscape, environmental and cultural features that cause this province to stand out in the context of heritage.
