Resumen
En Colombia hoy por hoy vive un acelerado y constante crecimiento desde que inicio el nuevo milenio, sobre todo se ha visto esto en la industria de la ingeniería y construcción, una rama que venía golpeada debido a la crisis de esta industria al final de los años 90 y que ahora se ha visto un poco afectada por esta pandemia llamada COVID-19. Pero bueno este crecimiento de nuevas tecnologías que permite nuevos es el enfoque de nuevos softwares en este caso la Metodología BIM, también impulsado por muchos factores económicos a nivel nacional e internacional.
Por ende, En los últimos años se han venido mejorando todas estas herramientas poderosas las cuales han ido desplazado los programas tipo CAD. Debido a la complejidad de los proyectos y los tiempos de ejecución de los mismos, las empresas se han tenido modernizar e implementar el Modelado en tercera dimensión conocido como 3D y hasta 4D, para ello se vieron en la necesidad de implementar las tecnologías y metodologías tipo BIM (Building Information Modeling), que más que ser modelos 3D son una base de datos que permiten extraer todo tipo de información como áreas, volúmenes, cantidades, propiedades de los elementos, precios, costos totales del proyecto, tiempos estimados del mismo y muchas aplicaciones que facilitan el trabajo de constructibilidad y ayudan en la mejora de la productividad.

Colombia is currently experiencing accelerated and constant growth since the beginning of the new millennium, especially in the engineering and construction industry, a branch that had been hit due to the crisis in this industry at the end of the years. 90 and that has now been a little affected by this pandemic called COVID-19. But hey, this growth of new technologies that allows new ones is the focus of new software, in this case the BIM Methodology, also driven by many economic factors at the national and international level. Therefore, in recent years all these powerful tools have been improved, which have displaced CAD-type programs. Due to the complexity of the projects and their execution times, companies have had to modernize and implement 3D Modeling known as 3D and even 4D, for this they found it necessary to implement standard technologies and methodologies BIM (Building Information Modeling), which more than being 3D models is a database that allows the extraction of all kinds of information such as areas, volumes, quantities, properties of the elements, prices, total project costs, estimated times of the project and many applications that facilitate the work of constructability and help in the improvement of productivity.
