Resumen
El presente trabajo investigativo tiene como propósito explorar y determinar aquellas afectaciones que se presentan en la formulación e integración de arquitectura contemporánea en el patrimonio arquitectónico del Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México relacionadas con tres dimensiones a tener en cuenta: lo histórico, estético y funcional. El desarrollo de la investigación inicia con la descripción de los antecedentes históricos y arquitectónicos que consolidaron lo que hoy es el centro histórico, de esta forma se busca entender con mayor precisión las características de las primeras intervenciones desde la colonia hasta el siglo XIX, en la segunda parte del documento se busca poder conocer las intervenciones actuales y reconocer las afectaciones de las dimensiones antes mencionadas, a partir de un recorrido sobre la arquitectura del movimiento moderno en la Ciudad de México y el centro histórico, el porqué de su importancia y como su recuperación abarca la implementación de obra nueva en donde con apoyo de material bibliográfico, las respectivas entrevistas y encuesta se exploran las afectaciones, como parte central del trabajo investigativo. Finalmente, con base en las afectaciones que se categorizaron en la segunda parte se retoman dos casos de estudio en los cuales se ejemplifica la forma en cómo se integra la obra nueva en edificaciones patrimoniales dentro del Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México

This research work aims to explore and identify those damages that arise in the development and integration of contemporary architecture in the architectural heritage of the Historic center of Mexico City related to three dimensions to consider: the historical, aesthetic and functional. The development of research begins with a description of the historical and architectural history that consolidated what is now the historic center , thus seeks to understand more precisely the characteristics of the first interventions from colonial times to the nineteenth century , in the second part of the paper seeks to meet current interventions and recognize the effects of the above dimensions , from a tour of the architecture of the modern movement in Mexico City and the historic center, why it matters and how their recovery encompasses the implementation of new work where with support of literature, the respective interviews and survey the damages as a central part of the research work are explored. Finally, based on the effects that were categorized in the second part two case studies in which the form is exemplified how the new work is integrated into heritage buildings within the Historic center of Mexico City will resume
