Liverworts (Marchantiophyta) make up the natural group of Bryophytes together with Mosses (Bryophyta) and Anthoceros (Antocerophyta). For Colombia, 730 species have been registered, distributed in 38 families. Epiphytic liverworts play an important role in the regulation of the water cycle and the formation of biomass in forests, this makes them highly sensitive organisms to ecological and climatic changes. Therefore, the objective of this study was to determine the composition and structure of the epiphytic liverwort communities in an intervention gradient in Vereda San Isidro, Rondón, Boyacá. For this, two zones were taken, one of primary forest and the other of restoration and pasture. Four 50 x 4 m transects were established in them and four trees were taken in each transect. The data were taken in the first two meters of the trunk, where a 10 x 10 cm acetate grid was established for each meter. The material was identified and later composition and diversity analyzes were carried out. As a result, it was obtained that epiphytic liverwort communities are negatively affected by the variation of ecological and environmental conditions, as a consequence of the anthropogenic intervention of the region, thus decreasing their diversity and composition in the pasture area mainly.
