Resumen
El uso de hidrolatos en el cultivo de lechugas para el control de plagas es una alternativa importante que le puede generar al cultivador mejores dividendos financieros porque puede comercializar sus productos en mercados especializados, del mismo modo, se puede reducir la contaminación ambiental por la disminución residual de toxinas en las fuentes hídricas y en el suelo. Adicionalmente a la sociedad por ofrecer productos de mejor calidad. Se hizo una evaluación financiera rigurosa para determinar las diferencias económicas que se dan por el uso de extractos vegetales e insecticidas sintéticos. Se visitaron cultivos de lechuga en el municipio de Mosquera para conocer el proceso desde la precosecha y la cosecha, orientados por un Ingeniero Agrónomo. Adicionalmente el Químico agrícola explicó y demostró mediante una extracción de ajo-ají el proceso de producción del hidrolato. Todo esto sumado a la exploración bibliográfica y aportes conceptuales adquiridos en la especialización en Gerencia financiera que actualmente cursamos los integrantes de este equipo de investigación dieron como resultado este trabajo que cobra interés particular por tratar un tema que pese a su relevancia no ha despertado mayor acogida en el circulo investigativo del país. De acuerdo con los resultados se pudo comprobar que el uso del extracto ajo- ají como insecticida preventivo genera mayores costos al cultivador que aplicando plaguicidas sintéticos, pero queda abierta la discusión y la pregunta para otras investigaciones, si el uso de hidrolatos mejora las condiciones ambientales y termina presentando una mejor ecuación costo – beneficio, al incrementarse el uso del preventivo biológico por la aceptación del producto final en nuevos segmentos de mercados especializados y mas exigentes.

The use of hidrolatos in the cultivation of lettuces for the control of plagues is an important alternative that him can generate to the cultivator better financial dividends because he can commercialize his products on specializing markets, in the same way it is possible to reduce the environmental pollution by the residual decrease of toxins in the water sources and in the ground. Additional to the society for offering products of better quality. There was done a financial rigorous evaluation to determine the economic differences that are given by the use of vegetable extracts and insecticide synthetic. Grounding of lettuce were visited in Mosquera's municipality to know the process from the pre-crop and the crop, orientated by an Engineer Agronomist. Additional the agricultural Chemist explained and demonstrated by means of an extraction of garlic - chili the process of production of the hidrolato All that added to the bibliographical exploration and conceptual contributions acquired in the specialization in financial Management that nowadays we deal the members of this equipment of investigation gave as result this work that receives particular interest to treat a topic that in spite of his relevancy has not woken bigger reception up in the circle investigations of the country. In agreement with the results it was possible to verify that the use of the extract garlic - chili like insecticide preventive generates bigger costs to the cultivator that applying synthetic pesticides, but the discussion and the question remains opened for another investigation is: if the use of hidrolatos improves the environmental conditions and ends up by presenting a better equation cost - benefit, on there having be increased the use of the preventive biological one by the acceptance of the final product in new segments of specializing markets and more demanding.
