El uso de información privilegiada para obtener mayores ganancias en comparación al mercado. Es una práctica en la actualidad, castigada por la ley colombiana, sin embargo, al día de hoy, no existen estudios cuantitativos sobre el tema, y su elaboración se dificulta por la falta de datos publicados sobre las operaciones que realizan los insiders dentro del mercado de valores. Es por esto que la presente investigación busca medir la magnitud del insider trading para las operaciones bursátiles del país a través de un método exploratorio con enfoque cuantitativo, donde se revisan las principales medidas existentes de insider trading,

Insider trading, is the use of privileged information to obtain larger gains compared to the market. It is a practice that is currently punishable by Colombian law, however, to this day, there are no quantitative studies on this subject, and its elaboration is even more difficult because the lack of published data regarding inside traders within of the stock market. For this reason, this research, seeks to measure the magnitude of the insider trading for the country's stock exchange transactions, through an exploratory method with a quantitative approach, where the main existing privileged information measures are reviewed, the privileged information operations carried out in Colombia for the period 2012-2017 are analyzed with data extracted from Economatica and finally, the use of privileged information in the Colombian stock market is estimated
