In this research, we identified that the Colombian fruit sector in recent years has been presenting disadvantages on the acceptance of its exportable supply, due to the lack of sanitary and phytosanitary measures that have hampered the entry their products to international markets. In this way, an innovative solution to this problem with the use of the technique of irradiation, as an added value is exposed to increase its exports, which, in turn, responds to the megatrend of consumption for safe food. From this point of view a productive analysis and commercial sector both as for the fruits identified by Asohofrucol, which sets the possible Colombian irradiated fruit exportable, in its study entitled "application of the technique of Ionizing radiation as a quarantine treatment to export fruits", in order to determine the potential of the sector to access new markets
