Resumen
His project is conducted as a study to determine the effect of physical and chemical agents on the test organisms through toxicity tests and exposing them for a definite time and at certain concentrations of toxic under specific experimental conditions and controlled dumping of tanning in tanning and liming stages of the long and medium term may cause effects on human health according to the International Agency for research on cancer classifies compounds Chromium VI as carcinogenic and cause gastrointestinal irritation, ulcer stomach and kidney and liver damage. And in the study groups of organisms DAPHNIA pulex These effects can be: death, growth inhibition, morphological, physiological or histological changes. Featured prominently in this investigation since large amounts of these substances are dumped into wastewater mainly tanner process. For the most part, it reveals that the buildings do not meet the technical requirements of an industry and production processes for years have worked in tanneries in makeshift factories. Most of them are adapted houses where, in one place, the whole process is done without the infrastructure needed for such activity and where the management of liquid discharges are not taken into account. The main objective of this project was to determine the median lethal concentration using aquatic toxicity indicators such as DAPHNIA pulex (infants 6-24 hours old), because they are representative bodies of the food chain and have high sensitivity numerous chemicals. This determination is performed by toxicity tests over a period of 48 hours (managed by the life cycle of Daphnia pulex time). Finally a statistical study (software Probit), which allowed to calculate the respective values of the median lethal concentration obtained under the results of tests performed and analyzed by ANOVA method, expressed as the median lethal concentration, establishing their upper and lower limits which underwent the living organism.
