Resumen

Esta investigación propone estrategias de prácticas de conservación y protección de la quebrada “La Volcana” que discurre en la verada Montecristo en el municipio de Icononzo - Tolima. A propósito de contrarrestar la vulnerabilidad ambiental y riesgos a los que está expuesto el nacimiento y la microcuenca hídrica como recurso vital de este territorio. La investigación se ejecutó bajo una metodología cualitativa exploratoria y descriptiva, en la que fue necesario desarrollar un trabajo de campo, observando el área de influencia directa del nacimiento y de esta manera identificar el estado actual de la misma; así mismo se utilizó una herramienta de recolección de información: entrevista semiestructurada, técnica utilizada con enfoque cualitativo que contribuye a la construcción de la realidad, combinando enfoques prácticos, analíticos e interpretativos implícitos en la investigación, previa socialización, a los habitantes de la microcuenca sobre las problemáticas que presentan la comunidad frente al uso del recurso hídrico de la quebrada La Volcana. Se hizo una revisión de las diferentes causales que la ronda hídrica de este recurso, como la deforestación que se presenta en el sector por la generación de actividades agrícolas y pastoreo; y se produce la red de distribución del acueducto, en la que sus beneficiarios instalaron el diseño de la red de distribución. Se identificaron las diferentes prácticas socioculturales que la población ejecuta en sus actividades diarias, conociendo de esta manera el entorno y proponiendo como resultado de la investigación alternativas ambientales, económicas y sociales,

This research proposes strategies practices of conservation and protection of the broken "the volcano" that runs on the verada Montecristo in the municipality of Icononzo-Tolima. By the way of countering vulnerability and risks to which it is exposed the birth and the water watershed as vital environmental resource of this territory. The research is executed under a methodology qualitative exploratory and descriptive, in which was necessary develop a work of field, observing the area of influence direct of the birth and of this way identify the State current of the same; also used a tool for collecting information: technical, semi-structured interview used with qualitative approach that contributes to the construction of reality, combining practical, analytical, and interpretive approaches in research, prior socialization, the inhabitants of the watershed on the problems presented by the community against the use of the water resources of the volcano La quebrada. Is made a review of the different causal that affect the round water of this resource, as the deforestation that is presents in the sector by the generation of activities agricultural and grazing; and there was the distribution network of the aqueduct, in which beneficiaries with installed distribution network design. Is identified the different practices socio-cultural that the population runs in their activities daily, knowing of this way the environment and proposing as result of the research alternative environmental, economic and social, looking for a balance between the environment environmental and the community
