Resumen
Este trabajo despliega una base sólida de información del estado actual del Sistema de Transmisión Nacional en Colombia (STN) al año 2013, a partir de los resultados de flujo de carga AC y DC, flujo de carga óptimo y contingencias, partiendo de la información suministrada por la UPME (Parámetros líneas, máquinas síncronas, transformadores, cargas) y toda aquella relacionada en la bibliografía del presente documento. El propósito del trabajo es mostrar un análisis del comportamiento del STN año 2013, y proporcionar una base de datos que pueda ser utilizada en futuras investigaciones. Para la realización efectiva de los diferentes estudios se utilizó la herramienta computacional MATPOWER, y a su vez, se usó como plataforma para la creación de un algoritmo en MATLAB que simula contingencias en el sistema. Por último se logró el objetivo del presente análisis, entregar un estudio más aterrizado que sirve de puente para generar investigación y entender mejor el comportamiento sobre el manejo que se da a la energía en el país, también se verificó que los resultados obtenidos cumplieran la normatividad, determinando la veracidad del estudio aplicado, y permitiendo entender cambios sustanciales a los cuales se someterá el STN en actuales planes de expansión

This work presents a solid base of information on the current state of the National Transmission System in Colombia (NTS) to 2013, from the results of AC, DC and optimal load flow and contingencies, based on the information provided by the UPME (linear parameters, synchronous machines, transformers, loads) and all the literature related to the present document. The purpose of this paper is to show a 2013 STN analyze, and provide a database that can be used in future research. For the effective implementation of the various studies MATPOWER computational tool was used, and in turn, was used as a platform for the creation of an algorithm that simulates MATLAB contingencies in the system Finally the objective of this analysis was achieved, giving a more grounded study that bridges to generate research and better understand the behavior of the management given to the energy in the country it was also verified that the results meet the standards determining the accuracy of the applied study to allowing understand substantial changes which will be submitted in the STN current expansion plans
