Resumen

La displasia de cadera en los caninos se ha definido como una enfermedad articular de gran relevancia en la cual se han ejecutado numerosos estudios que han aportado diversos criterios concernientes a su origen, ya sea a nivel genético, hereditario y multifactorial; no obstante, ninguno de estos se ha verificado completamente. Los tratamientos varían en función del grado de displasia y de la edad del animal, estos pueden ser médico, quirúrgico o una combinación de ambos. Aunque no exista cura para la displasia de la cadera, un manejo y tratamiento adecuados pueden ayudar a que el paciente mejore su calidad de vida, por tal razón lo que se pretende con esta investigación es demostrar que la pectinectomia es un tratamiento quirúrgico que no solo mejora la calidad de vida del paciente, si no que además detiene la degeneración articular y el grado de displasia de cadera, temática con la cual el autor quiere comprobar en este trabajo que la miotrofia del músculo pectíneo es el factor etiológico primario en la patología de la displasia de cadera. En esta segunda etapa del proyecto de investigación se realizo el seguimiento posquirúrgico a 20 pacientes pectinectomizados de 6 meses a 1 año, de 1 año a 2 años, de 2 años a 3 años y mayor a 3 años, evaluando como ha sido la evolución con respecto a síntomas clínicos y su calidad de vida, el grado de abducción, de subluxación, distensión articular y grado de degeneración articular, por medio de análisis radiográficos de los pacientes y encuestas que fueron aplicadas al médico veterinario y a los propietarios, con el fin de comprobar que el extraer completamente el músculo pectíneo en pacientes con diagnostico de displasia de cadera, esta degeneración articular se detiene.

The hip displasia in the canines has been defined as an illness to articulate of great relevance in which numerous studies have been executed which have contributed diverse approaches, concerning to its origin, either to genetic, hereditary level and multifactorial; nevertheless, none of these it has been verified completely. The treatments vary in function of the displasia grade and of the age of the animal, these they can be medical, surgical or a combination of both. Although cure doesn't exist for the displasia of the hip, a handling and adapted treatment they can help to that the patient improves her quality of life, for such a reason what is sought with this investigation is to demonstrate that the pectinectomia is a surgical treatment that not single improvement the quality of life of the patient, if not that it also stops the degeneration to articulate and the grade of hip displasia, thematic with which the author wants to check in this work that the miotrofia of the muscle pectineo is the primary etiologic factor in the pathology of the hip displasia.
