We assessed if the sheep estrous stage affect the quality of bovine embryos , to check that we evaluated this development at the seventh day after those embryos have been grown; The experiment was made using the sheep oviducts as in vivo culture medium, were taken into account two different groups, in the group A the ewes were in estrous because of the previous synchronization that they were subject, and in the group B they were in estrus by previous 10 days synchronization, which ensures that they were in luteal phase, the control group were the embryos of group B. At the time of collecting the embryos at day seven, we evaluated the quality of the embryos to establish which group it is better for embryonic development. Among the results we obtain in estrus group the following outcome, in the sheep No. 1, 0 (0%) embryos both collected and transferable, in the sheep No. 2, 15 (35.7%) collected embryos, and 1(2.3%) transferable embryos. In contrast to the results which come across in diestrus group where found in the sheep No. 1, 1(2.3%) collected embryos, and 0 (0%) transferable embryos, in the sheep No. 2, 18 (42.8%) collected embryos and 3 (7.1%) transferable embryos. The data were statistically evaluated with T- test and ANOVA, where differences were not significant, although quantitatively the results of diestrus group yielded embryos of better quality and greater quantity.
