Resumen

El Centro de Referencia Diagnóstico de la Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias de la Universidad de La Salle, conformado por el BLOQUE I y BLOQUE II, inicia este proceso de mejoramiento sobre los servicios que ofrece con base a las Buenas Prácticas de Laboratorio que propone el ICA, con la posibilidad de registrase a nivel nacional. Para los laboratorios que logran terminar dicho proceso, les representa obtener un valor agregado sobre los servicios que prestan, asegurando la calidad e integridad de los datos producidos en las pruebas que realicen. El proyecto fue realizado en Bogotá, capital de la República de Colombia y se desarrolló de la siguiente forma: 1. Revisión bibliográfica, donde se recopilaron datos relevantes para el proceso de certificación del Centro de Referencia Diagnóstico de la universidad ante el ICA. 2. Organización y estructuración de los datos recopilados para dar lugar al soporte documental. 3. Diagnóstico situacional previo del Centro de Referencia Diagnóstico, identificando los diferentes factores que representaban una fortaleza o debilidad frente al proceso. 4. Diseño y realización del Plan de Gestión Integral de Residuos Hospitalarios y Similares – PGIRHS. 5. Diseño y realización de formatos, registros y documentos que faciliten la organización de registros sobre los procesos, garantizándose así la confiabilidad de los resultados de cada uno de estos. Entre los resultados que se obtuvieron, está el Plan de Gestión Integral de Residuos Hospitalarios y Similares del Centro de Referencia Diagnóstico, como uno de los documentos necesarios para el registro ante el ICA y una futura certificación.

Through this improvement process of the Laboratory Good Practices proposed by the ICA, all laboratories that are able to finish this process will have the possibility of registering at the national level and obtaining a value-added service through ensuring quality and integrity to the general community through data provided through tests, according with the specialty of each laboratory. The University of La Salle in its continual striving for quality, identified the registration process of the Diagnostic Reference Center, in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences (Microbiology, Parasitological, Histopathology, Clinical Laboratory and Necropsy areas) as a priority the necessity of creating, designing and updating the documentation in the Quality Management of the Hospital Waste Management Plan and other residues. All the existing documentation will be evaluated by comparing it with the requirements of the ICA, then proposing and applying changes to achieve the eligibility of the laboratories for the qualified registration. Beginning the registration process for the Diagnostic Reference Center, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the University of La Salle will have a big impact on improving the capabilities of the Center itself in management protocols as well as in infrastructure in an effort to be even more competitive, making the Diagnostic Reference Center a Quality System in order to offer specific services.
