Resumen

En una escasa especie de la fauna Andina, conocida como Pacarana o Guagua Loba, se estudiaron los valores serológicos. Los animales fueron cuidadosamente manipulados, pero murieron cinco individuos durante o posterior a la realización de éste estudio, lo que demuestra la gran susceptibilidad de la especie al diestrés. El muestreo se hizo con 24 animales en estado cautivo. Las Pacaranas fueron de todas las edades y sexos. Las muestras se procesaron por métodos comerciales de laboratorio, posteriormente se analizaron estadísticamente y se obtuvieron los siguientes valores para el grupo general de Pacaranas: 9 ± 2.4 mg/dl de calcio, 5.9 ± 2.6 mg/dl de fósforo, 185 ± 51 mg/dl de glicemia, 6.4 ± 2.8 g/dl de proteínas serícas y 22.4 ± 14 mg/dl de cortisol. Los análisis también se hicieron por grupos de machos adultos, hembras adultas, crías hembras, cría macho y crías en general. Encontrando la media, desviación estándar, error típico, límite inferior y superior que conforman el rango. Es importante saber que en el análisis estadístico se tuvieron en cuenta 23 animales, ya que una hembra se descartó estadísticamente, debido a su preñez y la variabilidad de sus valores. Con este estudio el Médico Veterinario, puede tener una herramienta en la interpretación clínica de los valores serológicos en Pacaranas, para así comprobar, analizar e interpretar los parámetros fisiológicos con posibles alteraciones patológicas.

In a limited of the Andes fauna, know us Pacarana or Guagua Loba, were studied the serum levels in 24 captive animals were samples. The Pacaranas were of all the ages, sex, the animals were carefully managed, but five of them died between or after the realization of this study, this show the great susceptibility of this specie to stress. The sample were proceed by commercial laboratory methods, them sample were analyzed statistically and the following levels were found for general group: , 9 ± 2.4 mg/dl of calcium , 5.9 ± 2.6 mg/dl of Phosphorus, 185 ± 51 mg/dl of glucose, 6.4 ± 2.8 g/dl de proteins y 22.4 ± 14 mg/dl de cortisol. These analyses were made by groups of adult males, adult females, raising males, raising females and raising in general. It is important to know mind that in the statistical analysis, 23 Pacaranas were taken in consideration in total, since female was statistics discarded because of her pregnancy. Whit this study The veterinary can have a toot to the clinical interpret of the serologic value in Pacaranas, for compare, analysis and interpreted the physiology parameters with pathologic alteration in this species.
