Resumen
El ojo seco es una enfermedad de la superficie ocular caracterizada por una pérdida de la homeostasis de la película lagrimal, se ha evidenciado una gran subjetividad en las pruebas que causa una importante variabilidad diagnóstica, por lo que es importante el desarrollo de nuevas herramientas para su estandarización. Entre ellos se encuentra la prueba de meibografía, ya que se ha evidenciado el gran número de individuos que presentan ojo seco asociado a la Disfunción de Glándulas Meibomio (DGM). El Test de Ferning, permite identificar el comportamiento de la fase mucinoacuosa de la película lagrimal, donde se hace necesario su estandarización, ya que en Colombia su implementación como apoyo diagnóstico es muy reducida y limitada. Objetivo general: Determinar las condiciones óptimas de Test de Ferning y Meibografía como pruebas diagnósticas en Enfermedad de Superficie Ocular.

Dry eye is a disease of the ocular surface characterized by a loss of tear film homeostasis, a great subjectivity has been evidenced in the tests that cause an important diagnostic variability, so it is important to develop new tools for its standardization. Among them is the meibography test, since the large number of individuals who have dry eye associated with Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) has been evidenced. The Ferning Test allows identifying the behavior of the mucinoaqueous phase of the tear film, where its standardization is necessary, since in Colombia its implementation as diagnostic support is very small and limited. General objective: Determine the optimal conditions of Ferning Test and Meibography as diagnostic tests in Ocular Surface Disease.
