Abstract
The present research search possible relationships that exist between the geometric design guidelines and the actual conditions of accidentality for a particular road sector. The case study analyzed is part of the Manizales - Neira road (Department of Caldas - Colombia). Based on the accidents data base between 2014 and 2016 and the current geometric characteristics of this road corridor. The critical points are identified both from the point of view of accidents and features of geometric design. We propose actions that encourage them to increase road safety.
