Abstract
The documentary theoretical component (curriculum design) and the curriculum managing of the Masterliness of Science in Information, mention: Knowledge Management from the Division of Graduate Studies, Faculty of Humanities and Education at the University of Zulia-Venezuela are evaluated. The main theoretical references that support the study are some existing models aimed to evaluate the curriculum of graduate programs, such as those proposed by Inciarte (2005), Tellez (2011) and Restrepo, Sanchez and Uribe (2006). The methodological strategy consisted on the triangulation of techniques, research tools and actors. The documentary content analysis, focus group and survey which relied on instruments such as the checklist, the script of questions and a questionnaire designed with the Likert scale were the techniques used. The results from the theoretical and documentary assessment reveal the need to: review the concept-based approach that support the Master, improve the coherence between the graduate profile and the curriculum net, as well as redirect some curricular units. Some of the results of the curricular program management showed strengths in terms of academic teachers training, effectiveness in supporting administrative processes and an adequate physical infrastructure for developing activities, while the highlighting weaknesses reported the obsolescence of the technological platform and delays in the availability of tutors.
