Abstract
This article proposes a conceptual model of self-organization to achieve joint actions in business organizations in order to overcome the inflexibility, weakness and slowness that have characterized them, and the generation of negative externalities that businesses have created both in the environment and society. The research suggests that these failures are due to the use of hierarchical control systems to achieve joint actions, and financial and profitable approaches that characterize business administration. This research starts from the premise that seeking alternatives aimed at overcoming the shortcomings of business organizations requires understanding them from different perspectives that have traditionally supported business administration. The theoretical framework that supports the proposed model includes the proposals from the science of complex networks, artificial life, non-equilibrium thermodynamics, and Boolean networks, the NK model, chaos theory and catastrophe theory. The relevance of these fields are characterized by the absence of control systems and the nonlinear interaction between system agents. The model shows that the self-organized system gives high levels of robustness.
