Abstract

Archival training in Colombia is analyzed on the basis of an evolutionary and current perspective, compar-ing disciplinary and algorithmic contents of the curriculum of academic programs that train professionals in this field of knowledge. The qualitative approach, a documentary method, and a type of comparative research were the central elements of the methodol-ogy, using the Document Management and Archives Administration Model as a reference for comparison, which constitutes one of the national public policies that guide the implementation of the archival func-tion in this country. The main results show different degrees of articulation of the programs, reaching the conclusion that it is necessary to move towards pro-cesses of curricular harmonization for the training of archivists in Colombia.
