Resumen

Se aplicó la DOMA INDIA DE LA PAMPA ARGENTINA, a 11 equinos criollos de los Llanos Orientales de Colombia en el departamento de Casanare, los caballos se trabajaron en dos grupos, el primero compuesto por animales con más de dos años y el segundo por potros menores a un año, incluidas dos potrillas recién nacidas. Se comprobó que no es necesaria la violencia para domar caballos, las hembras y los potros menores de un año son más fáciles de amansar y con yeguas dóciles, su manejo será más fácil y se puede empezar la doma de sus crías desde su nacimiento. El tiempo utilizado para el estudio fueron tres meses, ningún animal trabajado sufrió lesiones.

The INDIAN TAMING OF THE ARGENTINEAN PAMPAS was applied, to 11 creole horses of the Eastern Plains (Llanos) in the Colombian departament of Casanare; they were separated in two groups by age; the first formed by animals older than 2 years and the second less than one year, including two newly baby fillies. Proving that it is not necessary the violence to tame a horse. The mares and the colts less than one year old are easier to tame. With domesticated mares their handling was facilitated and one wil be able to being the taming of horse from its birth. The duration of this study ran a total of 3 months, no animal studied or worked was hurt physically.
