Resumen

"Multilingual education has emerged as a common aspiration for 21st century societies and, as a result, a challenge for those who inhabit their communities. It has happened because internationally prestigious languages, like Spanish, English, Chinese or French, are considered valuable pieces of knowledge to achieve successful communication and cultural exchanges in our globalized world. One of the most innovative educational practices to get closer to the domain of those languages around the world has become Content and Language Integrated Learning, popularly abbreviated as CLIL. This approach/methodology focuses on gaining foreign language proficiency while developing content competency on diverse subject matters (science, math, social studies, music, economics, accountancy, etc.). In the case of Colombia, CLIL has developed some importance in the last two decades, mainly as result of the dissemination of bilingual or intensified English schools. This academic module is conceived as a theoretical and practical academic space in which students can expand their horizons about foreign languages teaching and didactics by planning and applying CLIL lessons, reflecting on their pedagogical practices and discussing about opportunities of improvement.
