The present work aims to identify the relationships between self-control problems, understood as the factor that forces individuals to make decisions in periods of time in which the best benefits are not achieved, and the use of mobile devices (i.e. “smartphones”). The behavioral patterns of 151 night-school students in the Economics program of the University of La Salle will be determined through a series of questionnaires that aim to identify possible factors that influence their decisions when making a purchase. The research will be developed through quasi-experimental methods, where the first part of the questionnaire, based on semi-structured questions, will enable the identification of general characteristics and consumption decisions, while the second part will facilitate the categorization of the sample according to levels of impulsivity based on a Likert scale configuration. Among the results analyzed, we can identify a high response of individuals to incentives, in addition to the financing mechanisms of greater preference and response to changes in income
