Resumen
La presente tesis plantea, desde una perspectiva multidimensional, el reconocimiento de los criterios de caracterización y valoración del Paisaje Biocultural de la Sabana Inundable Llanera del Municipio de Arauca, Orinoquia colombiana, polígono Distrito Nacional de Manejo Integrado (DNMI) Cinaruco; a través de la identificación de los símbolos y representaciones contenidos en las particularidades naturales (territorio – ecosistema), en las actividades socio económicas (ganadería anfibia) y en las manifestaciones culturales (patrimonio cultural inmaterial y tradiciones); identificando además, el potencial y relevancia que tiene preservar las dinámicas asociadas a este paisaje biocultural, en la lucha regional y global por contrarrestar los efectos del cambio climático y así, contribuir significativamente al cumplimiento de las metas de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (2. Hambre Cero, 11. Ciudades y Comunidades Sostenibles, 13. Acción por el Clima, 15. Vida de Ecosistemas Terrestres); esto, a través de las relaciones que se establecen entre las prácticas de aprovechamiento tradicional de los recursos y los conocimientos ecológicos aplicados por las comunidades locales, con un territorio que se caracteriza por la presencia constante de espejos de agua que circulan por toda la extensión superficial. y subterráneo, en concordancia con los ciclos climáticos (invierno y verano).

This thesis proposes, from a multidimensional perspective, the recognition of the criteria for characterization and assessment of the Biocultural Landscape of the Plains Flood Savannah of the Municipality of Arauca, Colombian Orinoquia, Cinaruco National District of Integrated Management (DNMI) polygon; through the identification of the symbols and representations contained in natural particularities (territory – ecosystem), in socio-economic activities (amphibious livestock) and in cultural manifestations (intangible cultural heritage and traditions); It also identifies the potential and relevance of preserving the dynamics associated with this biocultural landscape in the regional and global struggle to counteract the effects of climate change and thus contribute significantly to the fulfillment of the goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (2. Zero Hunger, 11. Sustainable Cities and Communities, 13. Climate Action, 15. Life on Land); This, through the relationships that are established between the practices of traditional use of resources and the ecological knowledge applied by the local communities, with a territory that is characterized by the constant presence of water mirrors that circulate throughout the surface and underground extension, in accordance with the climatic cycles (winter and summer).
