Resumen

El estudio fue realizado a 600 Búfalos (Bubalus bubalis) divididos en tres grupos, cada grupo estuvo conformado por 200 animales seleccionados al azar, teniendo en cuanta su edad: animales menores de un año, animales entre uno y tres años y animales mayores de tres años todos pertenecientes a la Hacienda la Suiza. Ubicada en el corregimiento la Sierra del municipio de Puerto Nare, departamento de Antioquia, donde fueron muestreados una vez. La Prevalencia fue determinada mediante la realización de frotis sanguíneos, obtenidos a partir de muestras de sangre periférica, los cuales fueron coloreados en la misma hacienda.

The study was carried out on 600 Buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis) which were divided into three groups each group made up of 200 animals keeping in mind their age as follows, animals under one year of age, animals between one and three years of age and animals older than three years of age, in a random manner. The ranch “La Suiza” is located at the small town “La Sierra” in the municipality of “Puerto Nare” in the department of “Antioquia.” The Prevalence was determined by performing blood smears obtained from peripheric blood and which were stained at the buffalo ranch.
