Abstract
This paper analyzes the knowledge's generation in companies providing occupational safety and health in Valledupar, Colombia. It is supported by the theories of Davenport & Prusak (2001); and, Molina & Marsal (2001). This research is descriptive, non experimental, transversal and with field design. We applied the research to the all 17 companies. We interview the managers through a questionnaire of 25 items, validated by five experts, and 0.89 Cronbach's a reliability. We found the most common way of generating knowledge is informal networks. We discover there are deficiencies in the acquisition, merge, and adaptation of knowledge.
