Resumen

En la investigación se hizo un análisis del aporte de la industria automotriz al crecimiento del sector secundario y cómo impactan las tendencias actuales en el crecimiento económico del sector. En vista de que Colombia únicamente ensambla automóviles Renault y Chevrolet, la industria del automóvil en Colombia, a pesar de su tamaño, tiene las características para convertirse en clave para el desarrollo de la economía colombiana. Para el adelanto de la monografía se formulan los siguientes objetivos: Analizar las tendencias actuales de producción de vehículos en Colombia y su aporte al sector secundario de 2015 - 2019. Indagar las preferencias actuales de compra de vehículos nuevos de las marcas Renault y Chevrolet, así como su aporte a la industria automotriz y al crecimiento del sector secundario. Definir la cadena productiva que se crea a raíz de esta industria, y cuántos empleos genera en pro del crecimiento económico. Identificar la participación del sector automotriz dentro del sector secundario de la economía nacional. Como sustento teórico se describen las Leyes de crecimiento de Kaldor. En el diseño teórico, se busca información en literatura sobre teorías económicas y crecimiento económico, y la industria automotriz en Colombia, la industria metalmecánica; también, en las bases de datos de la ANDI, Fenalco, Andemos, el DANE, RUNT, el DNP, Procolombia, Sofasa, Chrysler, Ministerio de Tránsito, entre otras. Concluyendo, la relevancia del sector automotor se establece a partir de los encadenamientos con otros sectores de la economía, especialmente para el sector secundario o industrial porque es la base para que la industria automotriz pueda cumplir con su labor de ensamble de vehículos, entre otros automotores.

The research made an analysis of the contribution of the automotive industry to the growth of the secondary sector and how current trends impact the economic growth of the sector. Given that Colombia only assembles Renault and Chevrolet automobiles, the automobile industry in Colombia, despite its size, has the characteristics to become key to the development of the Colombian economy. For the advancement of the monograph, the following objectives are formulated: Analyze current vehicle production trends in Colombia and its contribution to the secondary sector from 2015 - 2019. Investigate current preferences for the purchase of new vehicles of the Renault and Chevrolet brands, as well as its contribution to the automotive industry and the growth of the secondary sector. Define the productive chain that creates a root of this industry, and how many jobs it generates for economic growth. Identify the participation of the automotive sector within the secondary sector of the national economy. As theoretical support, the Kaldor Laws of Growth are described. In the theoretical design, information is sought in literature on economic theories and economic growth, and the automotive industry in Colombia, the metalworking industry; also, in the databases of ANDI, Fenalco, Andemos, DANE, RUNT, DNP, Procolombia, Sofasa, Chrysler, Ministry of Transit, among others. In conclusion, the relevance of the automotive sector is established from the linkages with other sectors of the economy, especially for the secondary or industrial sector because it is the basis for the automotive industry to fulfill its task of assembling vehicles, among other automotive.
