Abstract
The road network extension in Latin America and the Caribbean show limitations related to its territorial surface and demography. But the road network mileage exposes a high statistical relationship with the economic level, measured by the Gross Domestic Product GDP. Therefore, the economic potential is linked to the level of exports, measured both in tonnage and in monetary units. So, the relationship between road network and the export sector in the region is also explained.
